Wednesday, 2nd of March, EMERGREEN project partners had a full day.
First, EMERGREEN project partner meeting took place in the morning, where project partners gave updates on the services developed and got to solve any questions that came up during the closing conference. It was great to be able to follow a hybrid system. Our partners from other regions that couldn’t come up to County Donegal (Ireland) joined us online, and the ones that were able to, met in person in Ballyliffin, Donegal.
Afterwards, we had a warm lunch that prepared us for the wind during our study visit. Augustin Garcia Pereira and Murray Scott, from NUI Galway and the Insight Centre, David McLaughlin and Darragh Mc Donough, from Donegal County Council, Anne Marie McLaughlin and Gabriel Rojas from ERNACT, travelled to the coast in the Isle of Doagh and got to see the first location for the Coastal Stories app.
The Coastal Stories App will be based on crowd sourced images from specific locations that will contribute to monitor the progress of the erosion. Partners met with members of the local community group that made this location possible and celebrated the launch of the app that will happen soon!
