EMERGREEN project partner Derry City and Strabane District Council (North Ireland) joined several organisations in a range of activities to highlight the importance of recycling as part of Recycle Week, from September 20 to 26.

As part of Recycle Week, Derry City and Strabane District Council asked residents to ‘Step It Up’ in the fight against climate change and take action to protect our environment through even better recycling habits. Simple steps can make a huge difference to our carbon footprint and environment.

To support Recycle Week they created several videos to encourage local people to change some recycling habits.

Launch of RIA chatbot and Recycling App Coming Soon!

DCSDC’s Chatbot RIA (Recycling Information Assistant) will be launching soon and available on the www.derrystrabane.com/recycling. RIA will assist local residents with any waste and recycling queries and will be available 24/7.

Also, this EMERGREEN project partner will be launching a Recycling App that will include handy features like reminders to leave out your bin and will be available to download for free on Apple App store and Google Play.
