EMERGREEN, or Emerging Technologies for Greener Communities project kicked off on 16 October 2018 in County Donegal, Ireland.
The main aim of the project is to foster greener communities through innovative public services that will have a direct positive impact on the environment. Furthermore, the intensive use of technology and the exploration of new business models based on open source and shared solutions will lead into more resource-efficient and sustainable options for public services delivery.
This three year project, co-funded by the European Union through the Northern Periphery and Arctic programme 2014-2020 and led by ERNACT, brings together seven partners from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Finland and Faroe Islands.
This first meeting served as a 'capacity building' event to prepare the partnership to set up, manage and monitor the processes at the core of the project.
